Nobody is saying that bad things did not happen in WW2 in Germany. What is being said is that the bad things have been “spun” for political advantage. You mention Aushwitz. I’ve been there. The stone marker in front was recently changed and the number of deaths FROM ALL CAUSES reduced by 2.5 million. The actual camp is nothing at all like the movies show. The workers had swimming pools, theaters, even a bordello. And the inmates were from ALL races, not just Jewish people. The main cause of the deaths seems to have been typhus. That huge crematoreum shown to the tourists was built AFTER THE WAR ENDED to deal with the typhoid epidemic, which was claiming everyone, including the Germans themselves. The International Red Cross had unfettered access to those camps throughout the war. Their reports are consistant; the camps were ravaged by epidemics towards the end of the war as the German civil systems broke down. Zyklon-B was an INSECTICIDE, used for delousing. The door to the gas chamber at Aushwitz has a glass pane in the upper half that anyone could shatter with their elbow. We have all read the stories of the camp inmates who claim to have survived four and six “attempts” at gassing. Are these superhumans? No, they are people who were being deloused, to limit the spread of desease. The stories about lampshades made from human skin and soap made from prisoners turned out to be hoaxes, as much hoaxes as the story about stolen incubators used to launch the first Iraq war. All governments lie to their people. That is the leson of this age.
So, why the transformation of the story of slave labor camps decimated by desease into extermination centers targeting only Jewish people? Well, look at the context of the times. The world had just spent vast amounts of treasure and blood to stop Hitler frokm marching into other peoples’ countries and taking them for his own use. But here you had the founders of Israel wanting to to do precisely that to Palestine; march in and take it for their own use. Israel needed a propaganda device powerfuil enough to convince the world that Israel had to be allowed to do what Hitler was prevented from doing. So, the spin began. The very real horrors of the Nazis were magnified and amplified using the principle of the “Big Lie”; tell a big enough lie and people will tend to believe it. This created the political climate for Israel to steal Palestine and turn it into the nation of Israel.
Since then, Israel has greatly feared that the deceptions about WW2 might become widely know, undermining Israel’s justification for all that it does to the Palestinians. As a result, there are holocaust museums in every major city and endless holocaust “documentaries” pouring from big screen and little screen. Anyone who questions the orthodox account is treated as a heretic fit only for burning at the stake. The fanatical defensivness of the “Holocaust industry” coupled with their total refual to allow any factual investigation has raised suspicions in the minds of many that Germany’s “deliberate plan of extermination” may have been no more real than Saddam’s ‘nookular’ bombs. Aside from one confession extracted under torture, the available historical documents seem to indicate that Germany’s final solution was actually a planned emmigration, blocked oddly enough by Zionists because the Germans chose Africa for the new Jewish state.
In the end, the constant harangue about the holocaust is tiring people out. We are, after all, talking about events in the middle of the last century, some of us prefer to live in the present, and we have problems today, here and now, not the least of which is Israel trying to drive the US into wars with other nations. The constant message from the holocaust induustry is that this one genocide is the only one worth caring about. The 20 million killed by Stalin don’t rate, nor the millions more by Pol Pot, let alone what is happening even now in Iraq. The displayed attitude is that we are only supposed to worry about what happens to this one particular ethnic group to the exclusion of all others, and this has created the impression that the holocaust industry is an extremely self-centered group of people operating uner the theory that the rest of the world should only care what happens to them.
So, what do we know about the holocaust? Precious little. We know bad things happened in WW2. We know that governments lie. We know that at least some of the stories about WW2 and its aftermath are lies. Seeing the scale to which we were lied-to to trick us into war in Iraq, prudence demands that we abandon what we were told to believe about history, ALL of history, and re-examine it all for ourselves, whether it is the Holocaust, the assassination of JFK, the attack on the USS Liberty, etc. Americans are the most lied-to people on Earth. Lying to Americans is big business. Whole networks and public relations empires are built on telling lies. Getting past those lies takes a great deal of work, and personal courage. We need to stop taking as authoritative source those people whose paychecks depend on the stories they tell, and start looking at what facts remain.
